General information only
The information published on BraCalc.com is provided for general informational purposes. It is not intended as, and should not be relied upon as, professional fitting advice, medical advice, or advice from any other qualified professional. Always seek the guidance of a qualified person for matters that require their expertise.
Sizing results are estimates
The calculator, sister-size matrix, and international converter on BraCalc produce estimates derived from measurements you provide and from widely-used regional sizing charts. Bra sizing varies between manufacturers and between styles within a single manufacturer. A size that fits well in one brand may not fit well in another, even if both brands use the same size label. The results from BraCalc are a sensible starting point for shopping or troubleshooting, not a guarantee that a specific bra in that size will fit you.
For best results, treat the calculator's output as the first size to try and the sister sizes as the second and third sizes to try. Always try a bra on before relying on it for daily wear, and pay attention to the band, the cup, and the centre piece between the cups (the gore) — all three need to sit correctly for a bra to actually fit.
Not medical advice
BraCalc does not provide medical advice. Some readers come to the Site after surgery, during pregnancy or nursing, after substantial weight change, while undergoing hormone therapy, or in connection with conditions affecting the chest wall or breast tissue. The general guidance on the Site cannot account for any of those situations. Speak with a qualified clinician or a specialist fitter (for example, a fitter affiliated with a post-mastectomy programme or a specialist maternity-and-nursing boutique) for advice tailored to your situation.
If you experience pain, persistent skin irritation, or other symptoms that may relate to a bra, the answer is to stop wearing that bra and seek qualified advice — not to consult an online calculator.
No endorsement
BraCalc is not affiliated with any specific manufacturer, retailer, or fitting service. Where the editorial content mentions a category of brand (for example, "ranges that specialise in fuller-bust fitting"), it does so to help a reader narrow their search; this is not a paid endorsement and does not imply that any particular brand will fit any particular person.
